Is Jedmonds a turncoat by signing with the Cubs?

Hell no!

It’s not like Johnny Damon who freely left the Red Sox for their rival the Yankees.

Jimmy Baseball
wasn’t wanted by the Cardinals. He had a no trade in his contract, but he waived that right for the sake of the Cardinals!!! He under performed in San Diego, and he was released. That makes him a free agent.

If the Cards wanted him, I’m sure he would have come back, but there is no need for his dwindling skills at the age of 37. BTW, his OPS has dropped every year since 2004.

Best of luck to you Jimmy. You played some phenomenal baseball here in St. Louis, you helped this team get to the next level. Thank you.

Now I hope you whiff with every at bat against the Cards, but you desire our respect.

And lastly, who else post 1978 could pull off wearing a half-shirt. :)
