Pitchers are waaaaaaay over rated

Do Adam Wainwright was having a Adam Wainwright game when POP goes the middle finger of pitching hand and he leaves instantly. The Cardinals’ still won 8-4 over the Astros’, but I bet the Redbirds Ace will be heading to the DL.

So that would put him with “good” company.

Chris Carpenter – Latest line is his coming back by the All-Star game. (We’ll see)

Mark Mulder – Ahhhhhhh (You heard it here, he’ll NEVER pitch in the Big’s again!)

Matt Clement – Ahhhhh (who cares and why did they sign a known hurt guy?)

Joel Pinero – Ahh, coming back soon….we think? (This guy needs innings to be effective)

Jason Isringhausen – Starting a rehab (He’s been a Man and said he’s broken, I just hope he returns to form, because the Cards need that stability (laugh, but he knows what to do) in closing out games.

So we’ve seen some young guys get the call up to contribute and some have done well (Chris Perez) and others have not (Mike Parisi), but anyway, it’s fun to see the young guns getting a chance in the big leagues AND the Card’s staying in the hunt.

Just like it was a few years ago when Waino got a chance.
